The mission of San Antonio Youth Literacy (SAYL) is to promote the literacy skills of San Antonio's at-risk youth. SAYL trains volunteers to work one-on-one with elementary school-aged children who are reading below grade level.

Mission Road Ministries is a non-profit organization serving more than 650 children and adults with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities each day with residential, day services and vocational programs in San Antonio, Texas by helping clients reach independence, productivity and inclusion in the community.

Founded in 1924, the San Antonio Conservation Society is one of the oldest and most active community preservation groups in the United States. Beginning with efforts to prevent historic structures from being razed and to preserve such unique features as the San Antonio River Bend and the city's Spanish Colonial missions, the society has been responsible for saving most of the historic attractions which now make San Antonio one of the top tourist destinations in Texas.

The Alamo City Community Marching Band is a group of volunteers 18 years and older, with band experience, past or present who are dedicated to using their musical talents and skills to bring joy and happiness to all. In short, we are just " too good to be through.” The ACCMB is the vehicle that gives musicians, flags, and twirlers an opportunity to relive those old days in a well-rounded band to preserve valuable fine arts training.

The Arc of Texas is the oldest and largest nonprofit, volunteer organization in the state committed to creating opportunities for people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities to be included in their communities.

The Children's Shelter is a private, non-profit, nationally accredited corporation that has been providing services to San Antonio and Bexar County since 1901.

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) provides a wonderful support network for the surviving families of those who have died in service to America.

Voices for Children of San Antonio began its work in 1996 under the leadership of Marian Sokol and ANY BABY CAN with a small grant from the U.S. Bureau of Maternal and Child Health to develop a “children’s agenda” for San Antonio.
